Comfort Zones

Monday, 16 January 2017

I realise that we are half way through the first month of 2017 (a terrifying thought) so it's far too late to declare my resolutions for the year which will probably fall by the wayside sooner rather than later.
However the one thing I really want to continue on this year is doing more and more things to push me out of my comfort zone over the last two years or so I've been doing things which would scare the living daylights out of my fifteen year old self and I've had an incredible time doing so.
Admittedly not every new and different situation has been all that beneficial but its never turned out as bad as the picture I've had in my head.
Over the last two years by ignoring the voice of doubt in my head I have done SO much. I'm a fully qualified makeup artist, I've tried and loved new things which I would never have thought of doing, I've travelled, I'm now partial to booking the odd flight for a new adventure and probably most importantly I've grown a back bone.
As horrendously cheesy as it sounds by putting myself in uncomfortable situations I've slowly started grow into a better version of myself, so thats the not so grand plan for 2017 to avoid the niggling voice of doubt and just try everything I can whilst I'm able to.
